Forest in Our Hearts Foundation participated as in a booth to spread public awareness in the largest sustainability exhibition in ASEAN, the Sustainability Expo 2022, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) on 26 September - 2 October, 2022.
The seven-day event is organized by five corporate sustainability leaders: Frasers Property (Thailand) Plc, PTT Global Chemical Plc, SCG, Thai Beverage Plc, and Thai Union Group Plc, on an area of 40,000 square meters across G and LG floors of the convention center. It applies the principles of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy developed by His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and the First Royal Command of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua proclaiming to "Sustain, Preserve, and Continue" together with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
Over 100 companies and 150 speakers from around the world will share their sustainable development practices, including initiatives for a better environment to tackle issues on climate change, programmes for the development of future smart cities, and efforts to promote good health and well-being across various communities.
Many visitors, both adults and children, came to visit the foundation booth and gave support by donating for purchasing seedlings to join in planting forests and increasing green areas with the foundation, including donations to support the foundation's premium products such as bucket hats and tree-shaped pins, worth more than 71,920.22 baht. Inside the booth, there was information about the foundation’s history and activities such as playing a game to open a signboard to win a cloth bag promoting global warming. For everyone who donated to the foundation, they were able to write a name or message tag for planting trees in the foundation 3 reserved areas; Chiang Dao, Mae Taeng, and Ban Rai, that they wanted to plant trees in the year 2023. In a total of 619 name tags as divided;
Area Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province: 262 Nameplates
Area Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province: 192 Nameplates
Area Ban Rai District, Uthai Thani Province: 165 Nameplates
These 619 name tags will be hung on each tree that will be planted by the local youths and villagers in all 3 targeted areas on the reforestation day in the middle of 2023. The donors can follow the campaign process that their messages were actually put into action through the hands of children via the foundation's online channels: Facebook and Website.
